The Bessie’s Hope Legacy Family and Elders Program provides the opportunity for individuals or families to “adopt” a nursing home or assisted living elder, or elders, who have no personal visitors. Volunteers always report that they receive more than they could possibly give, and they value their deeply fulfilling relationship with the elder(s). Families state with everyone being so busy with their own interests, this is a time the family can come together to share a very meaningful experience that also makes a positive difference in their family dynamics. Coming together to give love, just creates more love for everyone involved.
